Maybelline Dream Touch Blush Review.

Hello there!
I have recently been really into Maybelline and, among other things, picked up this cream blush. I have also been into my cream products and am a blush obsessive so it was going to be mine sooner or later.

Available from the usual places, this Maybelline Dream Touch Blush will set you back all of £6.49. I have the shade Berry 06 and there are four shades in the range, this being the pinkest in stock in my local Boots.

This comes in a weighty glass jar with a plastic screw lid that matches the blush inside, which I like as it makes it easy if you have several. You get 7.5g in a pot which is a fair amount in my opinion and should last a while as long as it doesn't dry out. The texture of this is quite interesting to me. It's not your tradional cream product in that it's quite firm and not moussey, but feels kind of wet when you apply it on the skin. It's very smooth and dries down to a powder finish, without being tacky or waxy. New as this texture is to me, it works on my skin and so I like it.

This is a warm toned rosy pink that leans toward the deeper side, but can obviously be blended out to a sheerer flush. It also has a fair amount of shimmer in it which is of a cooler tone, so the overall effect is not too warm but very dewy. I wanted a pink shade rather than a peachy shade as I have been wearing much more contour and bronzer and it's nice to have some pink to counteract all the orangey tones going on - it looks a lot more natural to me. I apply this with a stippling brush and use a very little at a time; this stuff is very pigmented so a little goes a long way, at least on my fair skin. I find this applies very easily and will happily blend into your skin with the right brush.

This dries to a powder finish but looks dewy on the skin because it has a fair amount of shimmer in it. This gives some automatic highlight to the cheekbones and I think it looks lovely. It lasts pretty much all day as long as I dust some powder over it as I am an oily girl and the weather is pretty humid so cream products need a little help.

I love this and will definitley check out the other shades as soon as I can find them in stock!

  1. This looks like such a nice blush, I have quite a few cream blushes but always find myself going back to powder ones even though I love the look cream ones give!
Just to let you know I nominated you for The Liebster Award :)
