Hello.
And you thought you'd seen the last of my Soap & Glory powder reviews? You thought wrong. After the success I had with One Heck of a Blot there was no way I was going to let this pass me by.

MUA Undress Me Too FOTD.
Hello.
It's been ages since I showed you lot my face so I thought I would post a look with the MUA Undress Me Too palette, aka a cheap as chips dupe for the Naked 2 palette. This look is nothing too special but the kind of thing I'd use on a day to day basis.

Soap & Glory 'Glow All Out' review.
Hello and happy July.
Sorry posting has been sporadic recently but it's a trend that's set to continue as I have a lot on in the next six weeks or so. I am trying to schedule posts but am not at home this week so can't really take photographs - hence the lack of June Favourites, which may or may not appear next week, I'll decide if it's worth it.
That aside, I have for you another Soap & Glory powder review. I showed you the 'One Heck of a Blot' a few days ago and today I am talking to you about their 'Glow All Out' highlighter.

Makeup of the Moment #005
Hello again, are you enjoying your bank holiday? The weather where I am is gorgeous! Too bad I am stuck inside revising...
I have another make-up-face for you today, what a delight! This was my 'work face' a couple of weeks ago.

A Weeks Takeaway Beauty
Hello :)
This week I am staying at my dads, and I thought I would show you what I have brought with me in the way of cosmetics and skincare etc. I love the 'what's in my bag' and 'what's in my makeup bag' type posts, but mine are so deeply uninteresting that I won't do one myself. This, however, is not only more interesting (hopefully) but might possibly be helpful for anyone who is also staying somewhere for a while - I am aware this is quite a lot but I used to be a lot worse!

Makeup of the Moment #002
Hello :)
I've been wearing less makeup recently so haven't looked interesting enough to show you all, but I do wear a full face to work so that is what I have for you today. The sun was ACTUALLY shining while I did my makeup but hid away again when I took photos - probably for the best as it was shining straight in my window and I would have had window frame shaped shadows on my face.
It's not particularly fancy, I mainly focus on something that isn't going to fade badly so pretty simple, with an emphasis on my skin (which is looking pretty good at the moment, touch wood).
The foundation is a tad too dark for my skin but does last all day, save for some inevitable fade around my nose which seems to be where foundation goes to die.
This is a pretty simple and natural look that isn't over the top which is not especially interesting blogging but is however more appropriate for my job.

When I lay it all out it looks like less than I thought - it feels like I put more on!
Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation - I'm shade 51
Collection Lasting Perfection concealer - the lightest shade
Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder - again, the lightest shade
MUA Bronzed Perfection as contour and blended around my eyes
ELF Studio Blush in Tickled Pink
Natural Collection blush in Peach Melba - kind of between my contour and the ELF blush
No7 Highlighter - it was from a Spring collection last year (?)
MUA eye primer
Sleek Au Naturel palette (Taupe, Cappucino, Nougat & Regal on the eyes and Bark for brows - ironic after my ode to MUA shade 19 on Monday)
L'oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara
Soap & Glory SuperCat pen liner
Natural light - and messy background!
Flash and paleface - but at least matchy matchy with my neck.

March Favourites
Hello :)
How was March for you? It was cold for us in England. It snowed, why is this? Last year I was on the beach. Moan over. Let's look at what I loved this month! I have linked to everything for convenience.
1. & 2. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo & Effaclar Mat
(Quick! Buy them from Escentual while they're still a third off!)
These products are amazing. The Duo I have been using since January, the Mat for just over a month. The Duo has really cleared up my skin, the only reals spots I get are pesky monthly hormonal spots. Yay. The Mat I wear as my day moisturiser and it keeps the shine away better than other, similar moisturisers but it doesn't dry my skin out. Love love love. I just bought the Effaclar K and Effaclar AI to try because I love these so much.
3. MUA 'Bronzed Perfection'
Massive pan, cheap as chips, not orangey even on my pale skin and although it does have some shimmer it doesn't translate onto the skin like that. I use this as a contour, not a bronzer. Bronzer and I do not mix. I have used this every day I have worn makeup this month, whether I go for a serious contour or not and I also found it works really well around my eyes. A multi-use product!
4. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion
This. It smells SO damn good, for one. It also absorbs surprinsingly quickly and doesn't leave me feeling sticky when I need to be rushing in the mornings. And it stops my dry winter skin being so dry! Hallelujia! Plus, did I say how good it smells? Very. Plus this thing is huge and I don't find I need too much so it will last a good while. The usage you see is since about end February.
5. Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush (From the Core Collection)
When I first bought the set, this brush got zero use because I don't like this type of brush for foundation. However, I have recently started using it for under-eye concealer and I love it! It allows me to blend the concealer in without wiping it all away but doesn't look cakey, even with thicker liquid concealers like the Collection lasting perfection.
6. Special Tea White Tea Peach
This is so yummy! It's peachy (duh) and sweet but not sickly, and tastes very refreshing thanks to the white tea (which, FYI, I love to drink. I have a pomegranate one which is divine). It is a little pricey so I have to ration it or I could drink the whole thing in a day. But I have been buying probably about a carton a week and I have no plans to stop, except I do love to buy juices and teas.
What have your favourites been this month?

Makeup of the Moment #001
Happy Wednesday!
This is a scheduled post (fancy) and as this goes up I will actually be at my boyfriends house having seen the back of his January exams. Mine isn't for two weeks though, boo!
I thought I would show you what I've been putting on my face of late, as I have bought quite a few new products recently including my first every MAC purchase (courtesy of previously mentioned boyfriend).
Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation 51 Light Vanilla - MAC Pro Longwear concealer NC15 - Collection Lasting Perfection concealer Light 2 - Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder 001 Transparent - MUA eyeshadow shade 19 (for my brows) - Boots 17 cream eyeshadow in Wild Nude - Soap&Glory Lid Stuff eyeshadow quad in What's Nude - MUA Every Lash Mascara - Rimmel blush 041 Bronze - No7 Highlighter - Cherry Carmex - Boots 17 Mirror Shine lipstick in Beehive (not shown)
I apologise sincerely for the colour of my face. Combine a ghosty pale complexion with bad bad winter light and this is what you get. Hurry up summer! It has also washed my eyeshadow out a bit, it's a bit darker in real life.
As I already said, the MAC concealer is in my possession thanks to my ever so lovely boyfriend. He knows what a makeup freak I am and upon his suggestion we went to the MAC counter and they suggested the Pro Longwear which he then bought for me. I am too lucky.
The Bourjois foundation is very new to me, I've had it less than a week but I am really happy with how it's working on my skin. My previous foundation was working perfetly until it decided it just didn't want to stay on my face. I had been using it for about 2 months and changed nothing in my skincare routine so it must be witchcraft. Anyhow, I needed a new foundation and this one stays on my face *dances*.
The blush changes fairly regularly and I might change the lip colour occasionally, but the rest have been staples since I started using them.
What are your current makeup bag staples?
♥

October Favourites
Greetings!
Favourites are something I always like in other peoples blogs and videos so I compiled mine last night. I love that sense of satisfaction knowing I have shown some products some love and recognised their awesomeness.
Tweezerman Pointed tweezers and x10 magnifying mirror.
These have changed mybrows life forever. My eyebrows have never looked as neat as they do now; the mirror shows up every single tiny hair and the tweezers are so precise that I can get at all of them. There's a very therapeutic aspect to really going to town on my brows. WARNING! This mirror, while a godsend for brow maintainence, shows up every. single. imperfection. Pores aplenty, blemishes I didn't know existed and random crazy freckles on my eyelids that don't show up with normal mirrors. And don't even get me started on the dark circles... *shudders* Just don't look at your face in that thing for too long or you'll go insane.
Soap&Glory Archery brow tint and pencil. I bought this with my tweezers and mirror as the pencil I had been using was way too light and orangey. If my brows are the right shape, hey will bloody well be the right colour too. I love this, I use the tint to define and the pencil to fill the whole thing in. If I'm in a hurry then I use the pencil by itself. This was on the pricey side, but worth it for the definition it gives my brows.
Sally Hansen Twinkle Twinkle glitter nail polish. This is a favourite because I've been using it over a lot of nail colours. It's got blue, silver and holo glitter in it so looks great over cooler toned colours and I have just found myself reaching for it very often. It lasts a good time too, it doesn't chip horribly and if it's over a long-lasting base colour it all stays put.
MUA Pro eye primer. This is nothing particularly special but is a cheap-as-chips eye primer. It does the job; eyeshadow stays put and look more intense. I also don't get that attractive eyeshadow-where-blusher-should-be look if I do a speed walk in the rain, where my makeup usually ends up a foot South of where it was put. This makes me happy.
Real Techniques buffing brush. This has made my foundation look so good! It doesn't take much longer to apply my foundation with it than if I used my fingers and gives a more even finish. The only issue is if the foundation is particularly quick to set and needs fast blending. In that case, I do my face one area at a time (instead of dabbing all over and then going in to blend) and use my fingers to meld it all together. Perfecto.
Ooh that was fun. Makeup and talking are pastimes of mine and so I enjoyed this very much.
What have you been loving this month? Do you use any of these products?
Cheery-bye!

FOTD: Everyday face
Greetings!
Today I thought I'd show you my face. Sorry about that.
This is my everyday makeup of the moment (I change it fairly regularly) and I am really liking it. I feel like it works with my hair colour and suits the weather. I am having to go quite heavy on foundation and concealer and the like because I am having a bad skin phase that I think has something to do with the changing weather *shakes fist*.
- Boots 17 Miracle Matte foundation
- Collection 2000 Stay Perfect concealer
- Maybelline Dream Matte pressed powder (My perfect powder, which they've discontinued. Life.)
- Boots 17 blush in Plum Puff
- Soap&Glory Archery brow tint and pencil in Brownie Points
- MUA pro eye primer
- Sleek Paraguaya palette shades Bittersweet, Blush, Sandstone and Stone
- Soap&Glory Supercat pen eyeliner
- Collection 2000 Skylash mascara
This was taken when I got home and I forgot to reapply lip products (bad Sylvie) but I would only have been wearing a balm. A Christmassy ginger one, to be precise, but the point is it barely shows up anyway.
So, that is my face. I like this look because I do love a good eyeliner flick but this softens that whole look. I also use a more autumny coloured blush which doesn't really work in the summer but does look good with this hair.
As I have quite a lot of makeup, and get bored fairly quickly, I am sure you will be seeing another 'Everyday Face' soon enough.
What makeup are you wearing now Autumn has set in?
Cheery-Bye!
