Hello and a good evening to you.
I was very excited about the release of this palette. A ten-pan eyeshadow palette all dressed up in shades of neutral, and mine for a mere £4. Like I say. Very Excited.

MUA Undress Me Too FOTD.
Hello.
It's been ages since I showed you lot my face so I thought I would post a look with the MUA Undress Me Too palette, aka a cheap as chips dupe for the Naked 2 palette. This look is nothing too special but the kind of thing I'd use on a day to day basis.

MUA Trio Eyeshadows Review & Swatches.
Hello!
I thought I would review one of my favourite products from MUA, their baked eyehsadow trios. We all know and love their palettes but a trio is much more travel-friendly and I like them for days I don't want to think about which eyeshadows go together.

MUA Power Pout in Rendezvous Review & Swatches.
Hello!
I have another review for you today, this time though it is a lip product. I am a little lazy with lip products hence you rarely see them in FOTD's or Favourites posts unless they are lip balms, but MUA swayed me with their nude chubby stick-alike.

FOTD on a Budget.
Hello there!
I have an FOTD for you today and, although nearly everything I own is budget, this one is especially budget friendly.
I really liked this look, warm toned metallic browns on my eyes make me happy and I feel like the lips and cheeks complemented the eyes without overpowering it. Obviously the brows were nice and bold, technically they are too dark for my face but I like them. I feel as though a bold brow lets me get away with bolder eyes.
As for the eyes, I layered the top right MUA eyeshadow over the Colour Tattoo and blended it all out, with a couple of the darker shades in the crease (lightly!), along the lash line and under the eye. I also hit the inner corner with the shiniest shade in the palette, the 3rd on the left on the bottom row. Catchy name.
What do you think of this look? Do you want to see more FOTD's?
x

Shocking picture. I do apologise.
Max factor 3 in 1 foundation - Light Ivory 40 (review here)
Collection Lasting Perfection concealer - Fair 1
ELF Tone Correcting Powder - Cool
Natural Collection Blush - Sweet Cheeks
ELF Blush (as highlight) - Gotta Glow
Maybelline Colour Tattoo - Metallic Pomegranate
MUA eyeshadow palette - Heaven & Earth
Revlon Matte Eyeshadow - Vintage Lace
Seventeen Doll'd up Mascara - Black (review here)
MUA eyeshadow (brows) - Shade 19
MUA Power Pout - Rendezvous
The most expensive thing here is the foundation at around £12 but most drugstore foundations are pricey and I am very much in love with it.

I can't stop shopping! Makeup Haul & Swatches.
Well hello there!
I have a spending habit. I can't bloody stop shopping! It's all the tempting offers, they lure me in and before I know it I've dropped another £10 on makeup. But it's so pretty! I would like to stress that this was not bought in one go but over a few weeks. I am not that crazy.

'No Makeup' Makeup #001
Hello!
I have my face for you today! What a thrill. We all know and love some 'no makeup' makeup from time to time, but I have found recently that I have several variants. Today I am showing you the lightest , most natural makeup but I will have one or two more as and when I wear them. I used to be a full-face all-days kind of girl, but due to sheer laziness I have recently embraced/fallen into a simpler look. This is as simple as it gets.

A Weeks Takeaway Beauty
Hello :)
This week I am staying at my dads, and I thought I would show you what I have brought with me in the way of cosmetics and skincare etc. I love the 'what's in my bag' and 'what's in my makeup bag' type posts, but mine are so deeply uninteresting that I won't do one myself. This, however, is not only more interesting (hopefully) but might possibly be helpful for anyone who is also staying somewhere for a while - I am aware this is quite a lot but I used to be a lot worse!

These are a few of my favourite things...
Hello, and Happy April!
There are few products I stay loyal to (beauty blogging is a fickle trade) but those that I do purchase time and again really are fabulous. This is a short list but these products have really stood the test of time for me.
1. Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips - £16 for 125 ml - Clicky click.
This is pricey. But so good. I 'tip' the bottle onto a cotton ball for each eye, maybe more if I've done super heavy makeup, and then cleanse my whole face over the sink so this lasts ages. It's a lot more expensive than anything else I've used but also so much better. When I ran out I went straight out to buy a new one! Plus... it has a shiny lid. What more could you want?
2. Blistex lip balms - £2.50ish
Specifically MedPlus Balm and Intensive Moisturiser Hydrating Lip Cream. These are, I am led to believe, medicated or at least packed with something that really works. At any rate, they are the only lip balms I have found that actively heal my lips which are chapped at the best of times, never mind this crazy cold windy weather we are having!
3. Yves Rocher lip balms - £3 but always on some kind of offer - Link
These... They are so softening and smell yummy and I don't react to them! Yay sensitive skin. If I don't want anything tingly and medicinal, then I slather these on because they are just brilliant. No other stick balm compares. I am, however a lip balm addict and so buy them anyway. Someone lend me some logic next time I go shopping?
4. My toner - free!
I realise this is in a Lush bottle. I bought a Lush one then realised it was no better than my homemade version, but kept the bottle as it looks fancy. All I do is mix 5 or so drops of tea tree oil with some filtered water. That is all. I have never used a particularly effective toner, I just like how they make my face feel fresh and extra clean. Plus, I can use as much as I like because it doesn't cost me a fiver a bottle!
5. MUA single eyeshadow shade 19 (aka Eyebrow powder) - £1 - click here
Technically a little dark, but I like it that way. Cheap, cheerful, not too red or green for eyebrows. I have no need to change it, thanking you kindly.
I believe that is all for now... These are things that I genuinley have no need to change, although I will insist on buying more lipbalm. You can never have too many. Said no one with sense.
Goodnight internet friends... (realisation that this will go live at 6.30 on a Monday evening... probably still apt for my tired little life).
What are you favourite things? Have you tried any of these?

March Favourites
Hello :)
How was March for you? It was cold for us in England. It snowed, why is this? Last year I was on the beach. Moan over. Let's look at what I loved this month! I have linked to everything for convenience.
1. & 2. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo & Effaclar Mat
(Quick! Buy them from Escentual while they're still a third off!)
These products are amazing. The Duo I have been using since January, the Mat for just over a month. The Duo has really cleared up my skin, the only reals spots I get are pesky monthly hormonal spots. Yay. The Mat I wear as my day moisturiser and it keeps the shine away better than other, similar moisturisers but it doesn't dry my skin out. Love love love. I just bought the Effaclar K and Effaclar AI to try because I love these so much.
3. MUA 'Bronzed Perfection'
Massive pan, cheap as chips, not orangey even on my pale skin and although it does have some shimmer it doesn't translate onto the skin like that. I use this as a contour, not a bronzer. Bronzer and I do not mix. I have used this every day I have worn makeup this month, whether I go for a serious contour or not and I also found it works really well around my eyes. A multi-use product!
4. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion
This. It smells SO damn good, for one. It also absorbs surprinsingly quickly and doesn't leave me feeling sticky when I need to be rushing in the mornings. And it stops my dry winter skin being so dry! Hallelujia! Plus, did I say how good it smells? Very. Plus this thing is huge and I don't find I need too much so it will last a good while. The usage you see is since about end February.
5. Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush (From the Core Collection)
When I first bought the set, this brush got zero use because I don't like this type of brush for foundation. However, I have recently started using it for under-eye concealer and I love it! It allows me to blend the concealer in without wiping it all away but doesn't look cakey, even with thicker liquid concealers like the Collection lasting perfection.
6. Special Tea White Tea Peach
This is so yummy! It's peachy (duh) and sweet but not sickly, and tastes very refreshing thanks to the white tea (which, FYI, I love to drink. I have a pomegranate one which is divine). It is a little pricey so I have to ration it or I could drink the whole thing in a day. But I have been buying probably about a carton a week and I have no plans to stop, except I do love to buy juices and teas.
What have your favourites been this month?

Haultini
Hello!
It's Wednesday, I have done my exam and I bought things! Happy days.
I wasn't going to shop and then it just happenned... This is a totally random not-quite-haul but I though I would share. I'm no good for anything else so let it commence.
See the randomness? Various embroidery threads for friendship bracelets including NEON GREEN as I am so bored of winter now. Like, Christmas is over so can the sun please return to our lives... Does anyone else get that? Tesco sweeties, including their cat version of percy pigs and his assorted farmyard chums.
Also some makeup! I was in dire desperate need of a new highlighter and for some reason haven't been able to find one I like so picked up this MUA bronzey shimmery quad colour business. I liked the look of this trio and, for some reason, felt it was appropriate to purchase more eyeshadow. As for the concealer, I was just so excited that it was pale that I had to buy it and have a looksee. It could be shit, I have no idea yet but I think I will follow up on it on the blog because pale-person appropriate foundations/concealers are something I feel very strongly about. My mascara has started to dry up so flakes off my lashes and goes into my eyes which meant I picked this one up on a whim today - it's had good reviews so I am hoping for the best.
I hope that this insight into my bizarre shopping habits has been interesting or at least amusing. Most of this was completely at random but at least most of it was cheap... As for the embroidery thread, I have an odd obsession with craft shops and friendship bracelets. Don't judge.
What have you bought lately?

Makeup of the Moment #001
Happy Wednesday!
This is a scheduled post (fancy) and as this goes up I will actually be at my boyfriends house having seen the back of his January exams. Mine isn't for two weeks though, boo!
I thought I would show you what I've been putting on my face of late, as I have bought quite a few new products recently including my first every MAC purchase (courtesy of previously mentioned boyfriend).
Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation 51 Light Vanilla - MAC Pro Longwear concealer NC15 - Collection Lasting Perfection concealer Light 2 - Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder 001 Transparent - MUA eyeshadow shade 19 (for my brows) - Boots 17 cream eyeshadow in Wild Nude - Soap&Glory Lid Stuff eyeshadow quad in What's Nude - MUA Every Lash Mascara - Rimmel blush 041 Bronze - No7 Highlighter - Cherry Carmex - Boots 17 Mirror Shine lipstick in Beehive (not shown)
I apologise sincerely for the colour of my face. Combine a ghosty pale complexion with bad bad winter light and this is what you get. Hurry up summer! It has also washed my eyeshadow out a bit, it's a bit darker in real life.
As I already said, the MAC concealer is in my possession thanks to my ever so lovely boyfriend. He knows what a makeup freak I am and upon his suggestion we went to the MAC counter and they suggested the Pro Longwear which he then bought for me. I am too lucky.
The Bourjois foundation is very new to me, I've had it less than a week but I am really happy with how it's working on my skin. My previous foundation was working perfetly until it decided it just didn't want to stay on my face. I had been using it for about 2 months and changed nothing in my skincare routine so it must be witchcraft. Anyhow, I needed a new foundation and this one stays on my face *dances*.
The blush changes fairly regularly and I might change the lip colour occasionally, but the rest have been staples since I started using them.
What are your current makeup bag staples?
